Lemon Asparagus Cream Sauce
This is a sauce reminiscent of a Picata sauce. I like to serve it over chicken or pork cutlets that have been breaded and baked in the oven. If I am trying to throw together a quick meal (that doesn't seem quick) I will use frozen pre-breaded chicken from the store.
8-10 fresh asparagus spears
juice from 2 lemons
approx one cup of heavy cream
1/2-3/4 cube butter (salted)
1 dash garlic powder
couple pinches of flour (to thicken sauce at end)
salt (to taste)
fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
Cut asparagus spears into 1 inch pieces. Discard bottom 2 inches (thickest part).
melt butter in skillet
add in asparagus
cook on low for 3 minutes
add in garlic powder, lemon juice
