Grilled T-Bone Steaks
I made this tonight for my wife, my friend Rob, and myself. The steak seasoning application is a style that I commonly use. I have also played around with steak butter before, but this particular recipe was a new thing for me. Let me say...it made the steaks!!! We all enjoyed it!!! There was no need to add additional seasoning or sauce to the steak! I am already thinking of some variations to try in the future for beef applications (cilantro, various peppers like Ancho or Chipotle, and bleu cheese).
T-BONE STEAKS
olive oil
salt (coarse or crushed desired)
fresh crushed black pepper
garlic powder
cayenne pepper powder
lightly coat each steak with olive oil
sprinkle garlic, salt, pepper, cayenne as desired
(note: while I LOVE hot stuff, I usually only use a small amount of cayenne for flavor...not heat. I am much more liberal with pepper and garlic).
Grill steaks until medium rare or almost done to your liking. Place one pat fresh herb compound butter onto middle of each steak and let grill for an additional 1-2 minutes with the grill lid closed. Tilt steaks to allow butter and herbs to cover steak and to allow excess butter to drain off before pulling from grill.
Enjoy!!!!
